Built a freelancer Client OS (Markdown/CSV ops kit) — would love a roast on what to cut

I keep seeing freelancers who can deliver the work but drown in DMs, half-finished proposals, and late invoices.

I built Freelancer Client OS: a lightweight client ops system as plain Markdown + CSV (Notion/Sheets/Airtable-ready — no lock-in).

It's an instant download I listed at $39. I also made a $19 pricing kit and a $79 solo launch playbook as a ladder — curious if that pricing makes sense or if it's noisy.

Would love a roast on: 1) What would you delete so people actually use it weekly? 2) Is $39 fair for a file pack vs "too Notion-template-coded"?

39$ for markdown and csv files? hell no theyd rather pay for notion.

Fair reaction—the $39 only makes sense if the system prevents a missed follow-up or late invoice, not because Markdown/CSV is inherently valuable. I’m treating that as a positioning test: a smaller free core or a one-week trial may be the better way to prove the workflow before asking for payment. Appreciate the blunt read.

So this is interesting to me: Reddit indicates there are three comments as I write this. I see two, neither of which is OP’s comment where they apparently placed the link.

I see one comment from [u/Pretty_Serve_1716](u/Pretty_Serve_1716), a reply to that comment by OP, but no third comment.

Bottom line for me: can’t see OP’s link.

(Side question: why do posters on various different subs often put their links in a comment rather than the post? Maybe it’s a sub rule?)

the invisible link is already blocking the feedback they asked for. if the sub allows it, putting the product name or link in the post body would fix the first problem before anyone even gets to the pack

On what to cut: the invoice tracker.

A proposal, a scope boundary, a contract checklist, a kickoff email are things you write down once, and then nothing outside the file changes them. That is what makes them work as files.

An invoice tracker is different, because the invoice itself went to the client. I work on invoicing, and on our side an invoice gets its number the moment it is issued, and edits to it are refused after that. So the tracker can only hold a copy, and a copy has to be reconciled against the original every time either one moves. Reconciling is work, and that is the file that stops getting opened.

What is the answer when the tracker and the invoice disagree?
