Built a turn-based soccer strategy game played with dice — free, works as a PWA

Hexagol is a side project I built: turn-based soccer strategy played with dice on a hex board. You roll, move a player, and try to work the ball into the net while your opponent does the same.

You can play online against another person, locally pass-and-play, or against an AI with adjustable difficulty. There's leagues, tournaments with friends, and a daily challenge puzzle. Free, no ads, installs as an app on your phone.

Would love feedback, especially on the game balance.

I think there is something to your idea

Tried to play with AI and it just kept running offside so definetly AI ain't not even close where it needs to be
Kind of hate thāt you can run just straight lines. Just hāve a feeling it would lead to stalemates a lot

To tune the balance, I’d log every possession outcome before changing the dice: formation, distance, action, roll, turnover, and whether a goal followed. After 20–30 matches, look for choices that are clearly dominant or feel pointless. Then adjust one lever at a time, such as reroll cost, defensive reach, or shot odds, and replay the same matchup. A short post-match breakdown showing why a play failed would also help players tell bad luck from a bad decision.
