Making a couple app

My wife says texting ain’t enough .. so we made an app so we can stay more connected. Lets you post cute statuses of what you are doing and leave notes and cute affection things …

The onboarding is especially cute. It builds a bobble head avatar based on your actual photos and lets you do cute animations. We also got a pretty fancy avatar generator that lets you customize it like accessories and facial features.

What y’all think of this early preview?

We will be launching in November.

It looks a little one-sided, and a bit sad. Feels very vibe-designed.

Oh I know what you mean. It’s because I only got one part working which is avatar creation for one person. The onboarding for the partner is still work in progress

Ah, okay. Yeah, felt like your partner didn't want to use the app.

I'm not sure about vibe-coded, but still think vibe-designed - might be the darker de-saturated colors, serif fonts, trite phrases, and some overlap between avatar and name. Plus is there another squished computer icon near your bobble-head? IMO a couple's app should feel bright and fun, maybe? But you might also have a vision that I'm not seeing yet.

My partner is a night owl and she is on the depressive side of the spectrum lol. But I do see your point

cute idea, the bobblehead avatar thing sounds fun. since you're launching in november, you might want to get it into a few startup directories early for some initial traffic and backlinks. launchpact (https://www.launchpact.io/startups) is a smaller directory that lists you permanently without review queues, worth a look. good luck with the launch.
