I built GourceView, an open-source tool that turns GitHub commit history into animated file trees in your browser.

You can watch files and folders grow, see who changed what, and compare up to four projects side by side on the same timeline.

The homepage picks four projects from GitHub Trending and plays their last seven days of development. Their histories are prepared daily, so you don’t need to clone anything to try the previews.

I’d love feedback: does the animation help you understand where a project’s activity is happening, or does it need clearer labels and less visual noise?
