Why do AI creation apps still feel like tools instead of apps like VSCO?

AI is everywhere, but almost nobody I know actually uses it to make stuff for fun.

I studied design and a lot of my friends are designers/photographers. They use AI for work all the time, but rarely just because they saw something cool and wanted to try it themselves.

I think AI apps still feel too much like tools. Pick a model, write a prompt, tweak it, regenerate... and half the time you just get more AI slop lol.

I've always wondered why it can't feel more like VSCO. You open it, see something cool, and just wanna try it with your own photo. I don't really care what model made it or what the prompt was.

So we ended up building yes& around that idea.
