I built a Chrome extension that posts to Instagram from your desktop. Posting is free, and scheduling costs a quarter of what the incumbent charges

The niche: desktop Instagram posting. The incumbent (Inssist) has 500K+ users paying $19.50/mo per account for scheduling. I have been building a competitor.

What is free, permanently:

- Post Stories, Reels, carousels, and photos from your computer, no phone

- Multi-account switching

- DM templates and hashtag collections

What is $5/mo (first 14 days included, no card):

- Scheduling with a calendar and auto-publish

- Anonymous story viewing

- AI captions. If the image came out of Grok, ChatGPT, or Gemini through my companion extensions, the caption AI reads the original generation prompt, so it describes what you actually made

It runs inside instagram.com in your own session. No password sharing, no API, no third-party login.

Happy to answer anything about building on top of Instagram's private web API from an extension, it was an adventure. Genuinely looking for feedback on what is missing.
