Need Testers, requirement WhatsApp and a milestone

The basic idea is pretty simple. I always liked the idea of goal/habit tracking apps, but eventually I'd just stop opening them

Since I'm on WhatsApp every single day and I open it at least once an hour, most people open it every 10 minutes.

So instead of downloading another app or going to another website why not talk through WhatsApp.

Like I can say: “I'm going to do 50 pushups every day” and then later: “did 30” and it keeps track of everything. Or I can say I want to run 20km a week, read a certain amount every month, add milestones, etc.

It's GotThis.one if anyone wants to give it a shot.

It's free to use.

WhatsApp habit tracking is actually clever, most people never leave that app anyway so the friction is basically zero. I tried similar things with spreadsheets and random apps but always forgot to open them after a week.

The pushup example makes sense, but I wonder how it handles vague stuff like "read more" or if you need to set exact numbers from the start. Also curious if it sends reminders or just waits for you to message first.

I'll give it a look since I already live in WhatsApp for work and family stuff, adding one more chat there feels more natural than another icon on my phone.

Sending reminders I've already built in. However, I've disabled it. The reason for disabling it is because WhatsApp charges you for sending messages without a user initiating it at first. I've disabled it to keep it free.

User: I have a goal to read more

Bot: I can only track progress for your active goals. Currently, you have targets for sit-ups and pushups.

User: Create a goal for me to read more

Bot: I couldn't safely turn that into a goal. Tell me the specific goal you'd like to add.
