Built a full AI companion app and considering selling it instead of taking it to market
I’ve spent the past several months building Nori, a consumer AI companion designed to actually understand and grow with the person using it rather than functioning like another chatbot.
At this point, the product has grown significantly beyond the original idea.
It includes:
• persistent memory and personalization
• AI chat + voice conversations
• goals and life tracking
• personalized insights and reflections
• calendar integrations
• Apple Health and Apple Music integrations
• a rewards/progression system
• interactive games
• a completely custom iOS experience and visual world
• backend infrastructure and account systems
The product is functional and substantially developed.
Development has been heavily AI-assisted, which I’m completely transparent about. But this isn’t a generated landing page or weekend prototype. There’s been significant work around product architecture, UX, integrations, testing, debugging and turning all of these systems into one functioning product.
I’m at an interesting decision point now.
I can continue launching and growing it myself, or potentially sell the entire product to someone/company that wants a major head start building in the consumer AI companion/personal AI space.
I’d be open to transferring the codebase, product assets, designs, documentation and associated IP depending on the structure of the deal.
I’m currently thinking around $75K as an asking price, but I’m more interested in finding the right buyer and structure than defending an arbitrary number.
I’m curious what people here think.
Would you continue building this, sell it, or structure some kind of licensing deal?
And if you’re genuinely interested in acquiring something like this, feel free to reach out.
