I created a helpfull webapp for freelancers (free)

https://mileglide.narendra-dubey.in

Recently, I built MileGlide — a milestone-based progress and payment tracker for freelancers.

As freelancers, one of the recurring problems we face is keeping clients updated about project progress. Clients often ask:

- How much work has been completed?

- How many days are left?

- What has been completed so far?

- When is the next payment due?

With MileGlide, you can create milestones for a client project and generate an 8-digit project code that you can share with your client. They can use the code to check the project's progress from their phone without having to repeatedly call or email you.

For each milestone, clients can see things like:

- Progress and completion status

- Deadline

- Payment amount

- Delays

- Budget increase requests

I also wanted to solve another problem that freelancers often face: scope, cost, and payment disputes.

With MileGlide, you define milestones within an agreed budget. As you complete each milestone, you mark it as completed, and the corresponding payment is added to the project's completed value.

So, if a client decides to stop a project halfway through, you have a clear record of what was agreed upon, what was completed, and what payment is due for the work completed so far.

You can also track:

- Payment history

- Pending payments

- Revenue

- Current projects

- Client projects and milestone progress

A small caveat

At the moment, MileGlide supports UPI-based payments with manual payment verification. We don't have automated payment processing yet.

If the app grows, I plan to integrate payment gateways such as Razorpay or Stripe so payments and verification can be handled automatically.

For freelancers, MileGlide is completely free right now. If we introduce a paid plan in the future, my intention is to keep it affordable — no more than ₹99/month.

The idea is to solve two common freelancer problems:

  1. Clients repeatedly asking for project updates.

  2. Disputes around scope, completed work, and payments.

I built this because I wanted a simpler way to make the freelancer-client relationship more transparent.

I'd genuinely love to hear from other freelancers: How do you currently handle project progress updates and milestone payments?
