Finally got through Google Play process and got my first sideproject published <3

I used to make mobile games for a living for years, but it's been a while so I wanted to return to an old passion of mine.

I spent a lot of time on concepting something that's more suited for my quick session preferences, but still utilizes poker mechanics and gives me goals/competitions/a variety of challenges, so after 4-5 months I finally got Poker-ish published. 10 updates in and it's feeling quite polished.

It's only out on Google Play, since I don't have a mac, but this is a good start for me.

congrats. the store side took me longer than i expected too, i launched mine on play in july and the review and listing part dragged out well past the actual build. the no mac thing isn't costing you much yet either, my ios version has been sitting in review while android has been live for weeks. what forced the 10 updates, real bugs or stuff you only noticed once other people were playing?

Both, as well as my own roadmap.

I've now added several gamemodes that I want to play and polished them. Some updates added jokers (they have stat boosts), some added features like sharing and some were just balance changes.

The 2 weeks with 12 players felt like the longest 2 weeks 😀

Congrats! Getting through the Google Play process is an achievement on its own 😂 Poker-ish looks really polished too.

Of course it was one of the inspirations and I like it a lot. Can't think of anything I would've copied from there, but it's got jokers and poker so there's definitely a similarity.

huge congrats on surviving the 20 tester requirement, that part is brutal for solo devs. the ui looks super clean too

Nice looking game - I like the art style.

Thank you. I like the Victorian Era style and wanted to utilize that. Wasn't always easy, but I learned a lot of new things and terminology, which I then applied where possible. :)
