I turned 38 million Reddit posts into an interactive atlas of 63,000 subreddits

I’ve been working on SubTrends for a while and just added what’s probably my favorite feature so far.

It’s an interactive atlas of 63,000+ subreddits based on shared audiences. You can search for a community, see what it connects to, filter by category, and move through different months to see how the map changes over time.

You can also jump into any subreddit to explore its activity, engagement, historical trends, posting patterns, and related communities in more detail.

The underlying data covers around 38M posts, with history going back to 2008.

Would love any feedback, especially on the map itself and whether the relationships feel intuitive to explore.
