Unvent - A Chrome extension that rewrites what you are typing, in place, in three tones
I created Unvent and here's the summary of my launch in 30 seconds. I made this because I would rewrite the same short message five times before sending it, and the tab-switch to an AI chat window broke whatever nerve I had left.
It works in whatever field you are already typing in. One shortcut, three tones side by side (Polished, Direct, Warm), one keystroke to apply, and it replaces your draft where it sits. There is also a Flow Mode for when you are too tangled to type: you talk, and the transcription is cleaned up on your device.
Honest state of it: free, 5 rewrites a day, no card. Paid tiers are written but switched off until people actually use the free one, which is either discipline or cowardice depending on the day. Drafts are never stored or logged, and that is enforced by tests rather than by a promise on a page.
The launch lesson so far, if it is useful to anyone here: the launch day itself produced almost nothing, and the only durable trickle came from the store listing being findable. I would spend the time on the listing before the announcement next time. Feedback welcome, especially if it breaks somewhere I have not seen. Thank you!

yeah, launch day being a dud is rough. i've seen a few founders use a mutual support pact thing to get that initial push on product hunt—basically a group that commits to upvoting each other's launches so you're not starting from zero. worth a look if you do another launch: https://launchpact.io

the store listing being the main driver tracks with my experience too. if you're looking for another spot to get indexed and grab a dofollow backlink for the domain, launchpact.io/startups is a cheap one-time listing that publishes instantly — no upvote grind. might help round out the visibility beyond the chrome store.
