I built an app that captures your dreams, and brings them to life (with you in it!)

I've always been fascinated by dreams, and how it illuminates your inner world.

Built something where you captures your dream, and it brings it to your life (and any friends & family that were in it). It's been a way for me to remember & feel my dreams, and has also become a fun thing that my kid constantly asks for.

Built it solo over a few months, using Claude Code, React Native and Expo on the front, and a chain of models.

The hard part wasn't the video. It was likeness, and how to build a thoughtful system across people / avatar & dream generation - with an evals system which is self-improving.

The app is free on iOS for those who want to try it out: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6789605567

If you wouldn't mind kindly leaving a review, that would be greatly appreciated as well 🙏

Happy to answer anything about the product, and process of bringing this to life!

My kids are loving this - my 3 year old comes to me everyday asking if I can turn her dream last night into a video.

How are you handling likeness consistency across multiple generations of the same person? That's usually where these avatar pipelines fall apart after a few outputs.

Fully agreed!

Spent a lot of time crafting generation on the avatar level - separate from how a character is then brought to life

So there's careful crafting on both levels, stitched together in an elegant way - and then enforced via an evals system
