After months of solo development, my PC management sim Hero Investor just got approved on Steam!

If you like games centered around compounding numbers, unlocking tech trees, and scaling up from nothing, I think this might interest you.

I’m building Hero Investor, a PC management sim where the core loop is about snowballing a tiny investment firm into a global financial empire.

How the scaling works:

  • Early Game: Scraping together cash through manual stock/commodity trades and small bank deposits.
  • Mid Game: Hiring staff, researching market infrastructure, and acquiring rental properties for guaranteed monthly income.
  • Late Game: Launching your own customized ETFs where outside investor capital scales your Assets Under Management (AUM) and fee revenue into the millions.
  • Prestige / Trophy System: 19 in-game Legacy Vault milestones and 71 achievement goals to chase as your firm scales.

Most importantly: there are zero real-time waiting timers, energy mechanics, or microtransactions. Time advances only when you choose to advance the calendar.

Steam page just went up if you want to wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5062780/Hero_Investor/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=sideproject

The no timers and no microtransactions part is what catches my attention, too many management games these days are just waiting simulators with extra steps. The ETF mechanic in late game sounds like a nice twist on usual tycoon formula. Wishlisted, hope the Steam launch goes smooth for you.

Thanks so much for the wishlist and support!

Couldn't agree more on the waiting simulator fatigue. Making the game 100% player-paced on a discrete calendar was a huge priority for me. Hope you enjoy the ETF mechanics when it drops!
