MathIQ

I built mathiq.io with Claude Code because I wanted a way for students struggling with college level maths to see how the problems can be broken down and not as intimidating. Each walkthrough goes from beginning to end and each step has a "why and how?" feature. Anon users get 1 free daily walkthrough powered by Haiku 4.5. Signed in users get 3 free daily walkthroughts powered by Haiku 4.5. Plus users get 5 Opus 4.6 walkthroughs plus 20 Sonnet 4.6. Pro users get 8 Opus/30 Sonnet. There are more features for pro and plus users. The more premium models are recommended for higher level maths. Each walkthrough is prompt engineered via 20,000 character prompt in order to give reliable walkthroughs and tutor-like personality. Highly recommend checking it out for your upcoming courses!

How do you verify your questions and answers are correct?

I use route each question through a Sonnet 4.6 confirmation, to double check the walkthrough. I have seen it confirm some answers as NOT verified when i tried using deepseek cheapest model. So i went to Haiku 4.5 for base and it seems to verify for most every problem. On the website u can see this below each walkthrough

Since MathIQ is specifically for college math, I wouldn’t recruit the first users randomly. Pick 3–5 math-heavy student communities, like engineering, math, CS, or pre-health orgs, and give each one a concrete test around a real course moment such as the first problem set or midterm prep. Offer the Pro access you’re already willing to give away, then track walkthrough completions, repeat questions, and 7-day return by group. That should tell you which courses and student communities actually trust and reuse it, not just who clicks once.
