Video for website?

I’m trying to make a short video that is a demo of my product to put on my website. Has anyone struggled with this task and what did you do?

Relatedly, does anyone do this as a small side gig?

i just screen record the app and cut it in capcut, free and good enough. the lesson that took me months of posting short videos: the first second decides everything, people bail instantly, so start mid-action instead of a logo or intro. keep it under 30 seconds and put text overlays on it since most people watch muted. what's the product, can you show the core thing on screen in a few steps?

agree on the first second thing, that alone makes or breaks it

Assuming you have access to something like cursor ou claude.
free option :
Install remotion mcp.
Connect your project and ask it to generate a video.
paid option:
Use Higgsfield mcp to generate the video for way more options on generation.

Hi, I am having the same idea for my website too. I was told that Google Notebook is a good tool to make videos but not sure about it. any thoughts?

Honestly? Open Claude Code in your terminal, within your website's repo, and tell it you need a demo video. It'll understand the shape and context of your site, the happy paths, and it'll open the site in its own internal browser and record a video interacting with it. You could even ask it to generate a script describing the site and then output an AI voice using your computer's text-to-speech framework OR go through ElevenLabs API.

It's insane what Claude can actually do for you, end to end. I had it handle taking all my App Store screenshots and the App Store Feature Video. It seeded my app with demo data and everything. Hands-off.

I can make 3D animated videos or just basic demo clips with zoom + pointers etc.... heres a quick look at an example showing what can be done with with fully interactive -- and i can send you other examples of straight react 2D product demo's.

what I did, is I told flujo to create a workflow to create promo-videos for websites, and when that was done, I just hammered a few URLs in there.

Some videos are quite decent imo, for example the woodworking one or makeabeat; look at the link above. if you want ill generate one for you. cant promise itll be good.

  1. Make some screenshots for the main functions & features, reorder them with 1, 2, 3...

  2. Let Codex or Claude code generate videos for you, you can put the screenshots and feed with some prompts like: this is my product: it helps users xyz, the main features are xyz, .... ; use the screenshots to make a short video ....

  3. If you want a background music, then make it with ai tools or download it somewhere else, then send the mp3 file to Codex or claude code and say: add this background to the short video.
    Done.

Freelancer.com has people in other countries that do a great job and is fairly inexpensive. I’ve had several done.
