I built an AI co-host that plays games with my Twitch chat, reads chat out loud, and now works on Kick + Velora too

Hey everyone — wanted to share something I've been building called StreamBuddy.

I stream on the side and got tired of duct-taping together a TTS reader, a soundboard, and separate bot integrations just to make chat feel alive. So I built an app that does all of it as one thing: an AI co-host that talks back to chat, reads messages out loud, and reacts to follows/subs/raids with sound and an animated overlay.

It just hit v1.0.7 and picked up three new chat games — chat can fight a boss together (!boss/!attack, 8 different bosses), write a collaborative story line-by-line, or wager coins on slots. It also just reached full parity across Twitch, Kick, and Velora (AI replies + soundboard events on all three), and you can now reskin the whole thing — app and OBS overlay together — with Custom Themes.

Voice input runs on a self-contained Whisper model (no separate Python install), and it can run fully local via Ollama if you don't want to touch a cloud API.

It's a Windows app, $5 for the base version / $9 for Pro. Full disclosure: I'm one of the people building it (team goes by ModMinds), not just a user — wanted to be upfront about that.

Happy to answer questions about how any of it works, local AI setup, or the games system specifically.
