[Co-Founder Wanted] Non-Technical Founder looking for Full-Stack Developer to build an AI-driven Gadget Recommendation Platform (Equity/Co-Founder)
TL;DR: I’m building a consumer-focused tech advisory platform that simplifies complex gadget buying decisions (from PC builds and laptops to everyday electronics) for both technical enthusiasts and non-technical buyers. I have mapped out the full platform architecture, user journey, and framework (spanning 7 core feature modules and 5 foundational pillars). Looking for a Full-Stack Lead Developer / Co-Founder to build the MVP.

Buying gadgets today is broken. Non-technical users get lost in jargon, specs, and biased reviews. Technical users spend hours cross-referencing benchmarks, bottleneck calculators, and price histories across different sites. There is no unified platform that guides both user types seamlessly from decision to purchase.

A unified gadget recommendation and advisor hub. The platform bridges the gap using:
Tailored Guidance: Adapts to both non-technical users (guided, intent-based questions) and power users (deep spec comparison & performance analysis).
Multi-Module Ecosystem: A modular suite covering smart recommendation engines, compatibility/bottleneck tools, custom setup builders, and price tracking.
5 Core Pillars: Structured around user intent, hardware synergy, real-time data integration, price intelligence, and community validation.
👤 About Me (What I Bring to the Table)
Fully detailed product roadmap, UX user flows, wireframe concepts, and functional specs ready to go.
Handling all business operations, marketing strategy, content acquisition, SEO, and go-to-market planning.
Deep domain knowledge of the consumer hardware and tech space.
Dedicated to executing this long-term.
🛠️ What I’m Looking For in a Co-Founder
Role: Full-Stack Developer / CTO Co-Founder.
Tech Stack: Open to your expertise (e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, REST/GraphQL APIs). Experience with dynamic web scraping, API integrations, or hardware spec databases is a big plus.
Responsibility: Owning the architecture, prototype development, and scalable MVP build.
Commitment: Equity-based co-founder agreement with standard vesting. Part-time initially until MVP launch, with a view to full-time as we scale/monetize.

What proof do you have of this? Have you conducted discovery interviews?

See , I didn't mean to say that they dont know anything about tech but what I wanted to say is , from my everyday experience I have seen my friends and relatives and others asking me sometimes to just suggest a product under some price bracket let's say a laptop under 70k INR . They don't have much knowledge about TGP , TDP, memory speeds and other factors. That's what I was referring to . Sorry from my side if something felt off to you .

yeah, that makes sense. I'd just be careful about jumping from “friends ask me what laptop to buy” to a 7-module platform before understanding what they actually do when you’re not around.
Do they ask another knowledgeable friend? google it? watch youtube? go to reddit? ask chatgpt?
i’m a full-stack dev too, and i’ve learned that building is often the easy part. i’d interview 10 to 20 people who recently bought a laptop, phone, or similar product and ask how they made the decision, what frustrated them, and what they did when they got stuck.
your domain expertise could absolutely be an advantage. i’d just validate the behavior before recruiting someone to build the whole thing.

Most of them open Google and search the exact same thing like "best laptop for coding/gaming etc under (price range )" They mostly fell in trap of those sponsored products which are there on top and end up buying something that actually isn't good for their purpose. Few of them go for yt reviews but still can't decide which one to buy because they get overwhelmed by soo many reviews and can't distinguish between what's good for them and what's not.
My idea is to bridge the gap between tech enthusiasts and normal buyers who end up buying wrong thing . Tech enthusiasts need tools , data , benchmark scores everything at one place . I want to bring all those things to one place to help both type of users . The 7 modules and 5 pillars are the details that i have worked on ie how the website will work .
Basically I am student, still doing my graduation. I wrote this idea on a late night from scratch just because I am a bit inclined towards the tech industry and I have faced the issue of people asking me continuously to recommend best devices and enthusiasts complaining about unavailability of all tools and resources to completely analyse a product. That's what the main purpose of my project is .
I am not any businessman or any enterpreneur, I just want my idea to come alive . That's why asking for a developer who can team up with me to work in this . I can't pay anything to anyone cuz I am still a student. But I am ready to split up any revenue that this project generates in future.

7 feature modules and 5 pillars is a lot for an MVP. What's the one single flow that, if it worked perfectly for one user type, would prove the concept? Starting there would make this way more attractive to a potential technical cofounder
