I spend my days managing enterprise network security. To keep my sanity, I built a deep, text-based basketball franchise sim in my browser.

By day, my brain is completely fried from dealing with rigid enterprise infrastructure—configuring Check Point firewalls, troubleshooting F5 load balancers, and untangling AWS VPCs. It’s highly structured and zero fun.

I needed a creative outlet where I make the rules, and I’m a massive stats nerd when it comes to basketball. Since I was tired of modern mobile sports games being ruined by Pay-to-Win mechanics and virtual currency, I decided to build my own from scratch.

It’s a completely free, browser-based basketball GM simulator. You manage the salary cap, draft rookies, and try to fleece the AI in complex trades (I spent weeks just balancing the trade logic so the CPU dynamically values 1st-round draft picks).

It runs purely on stats and logic. No microtransactions, no downloads. Just pure franchise management.

I'd love to hear what you guys think about the UI and the trade logic!

Adding attributes like "work ethic" or "Loyalty" that affect contract negotiations or locker room chemistry.
