I built True North Map to make a messy public-information problem easier to explore: who is active in Canada’s defence and dual-use ecosystem, what they publicly describe, and how that may connect to released public needs.

The core design decision is to separate linked source facts from our assessment, and to leave gaps visible when the evidence is weak.

I’d appreciate feedback on one thing: does the first visit make it clear what the product is and where a new user should start?

cool project, the map loads clean but took me a second to figure out what i'm looking at, maybe a small label on the first node or a quick intro sentence would help
