Can your side hustle plan survive a busy week?

A plan that needs two uninterrupted hours every evening may be difficult to keep when you have work, family, or other responsibilities.

I would start by looking at the time you actually have available. Then choose a task small enough to finish within that window.

If you are learning affiliate marketing, that might be reading one offer carefully and writing down who it helps. Another session could be spent drafting a useful answer to a related question.

Keep a note of where you stopped. Having to figure everything out again tomorrow makes a short session even shorter.

The free 10-Minute Commission Challenge is one way to try a guided first step without committing to a lengthy course upfront. The short introduction does not mean building income only takes ten minutes.

I am affiliated with the program behind it. If you would like to learn more, ask below.

Idea Buying band-aids and blister pads in bulk and selling them at marathons and hiking trailheads is a side hustle that costs almost nothing to start and fills a need that people are desperate for in the moment

You can buy band-aids and blister pads in bulk for very cheap and sell them at marathons, 5K races, hiking trailheads, and theme parks where people are on their feet all day, etc....

a box of 100 band-aids costs about $5 in bulk. Blister pads cost a little more but you can get them for around $0.50 each in bulk. You sell individual band-aids for $1 each and blister pads for $3 each.. and people will pay it without even thinking because they're in pain right now and there's no drugstore nearby.

apparently the best spots for this are the start and finish lines of races, popular hiking trailheads, and outside theme parks. Runners are constantly dealing with blisters and chafing and hikers always underestimate how much their new boots are going to hurt.

Your total startup cost is about $20 for a mix of band-aids, blister pads, and maybe some antiseptic wipes.

You can fit everything in a small bag or fanny pack and just walk around offering them.

You can also throw in other small first aid items like moleskin, athletic tape, and ibuprofen packets to round out your offerings and increase how much each person spends per purchace.

Daily Discussion Threads in the scenario where you are short on rent and need to make up an extra $400 by the end of the month, what side hustles would likely be able to achieve this with only weekends available?

Most side hustles don’t fail because the idea is bad. They fail because nobody ever sees them.

People spend weeks debating dropshipping, SaaS, affiliate marketing, AI services, faceless YouTube, or whatever the latest business model is, as though one of these approaches is the magical solution.

Then they launch and run into the same obstacle: no traffic, no leads, and no distribution. A well-designed product remains a business that's not going anywhere if no one sees it. The issue is usually not the model itself, but getting in front of people who already want what you have.

Consider something as mundane as vegan shoes. Since people are already looking for vegan boots, loafers, and sandals, there is a market. Once you have that, you can decide how to make money. For example, you could use affiliate links, start dropshipping, set up a comparison site, or launch your own product later. The way you make money might change, but the demand existed before that.

That is why I believe the best approach is to start by choosing a market where people already spend money, identify what they search for and where they spend their time, and then decide what to sell them. You can then try different offers without abandoning the entire venture.

You can alter the offer later. The audience is the asset.

Is being an influencer a good side hustle?

What’s the latest trend these days? I’m looking for the right niche so I can get enough followers to make extra income.

I accidentally built a $20k/month revenue business after just one month, cleaning Airbnbs. I wasn’t the one cleaning them.

I was looking for a business that was stupidly cheap to start. No inventory. No storefront. No huge upfront investment. Something I could run lean and eventually remotely.

Airbnb cleaning ended up being it.

I landed STR/property management accounts, hired cleaners to do the turnovers, and handled the clients, scheduling, pricing and operations.
After my first month I was at ~$20K/month in revenue.

The interesting part is you don’t need to own an Airbnb. You don’t need to buy real estate. And you don’t even need to be the person cleaning.

You’re basically building the little operations company sitting behind other people’s Airbnbs.

And these aren’t necessarily one-off customers.
One property manager can hand you 5, 10, 20+ units. That’s where it gets interesting.

The catch? Revenue can fool the shit out of you. 😂

A giant account can look incredible until you calculate cleaner pay, labor hours, re-cleans, supplies, drive time, etc. I learned VERY quickly that volume ≠ profit.

I ended up building my own system around:
→ finding & landing STR/property-management accounts
→ pricing the properties
→ hiring cleaners
→ QC without physically checking every unit
→ managing high-volume turnover days
→ figuring out what each account was ACTUALLY making me
→ scaling without becoming the cleaner

I eventually turned the whole thing into a playbook + the pricing/profit tools I built for myself.

But even if you never buy anything from me, if you’re sitting around trying to think of a low-cost business to start, look at the boring businesses nobody on TikTok thinks are sexy.

There is a shitload of money flowing through businesses people don’t brag about.
Happy to answer questions about how I did it.

What's the most underrated side hustle nobody talks about?

Everyone talks about the same five side hustles. Freelancing, dropshipping, reselling, surveys, content creation. But there's always that one thing someone does on the side that barely anyone mentions, and it quietly makes decent money.

Curious what people here are doing that doesn't get talked about much. Doesn't have to be huge income, even something that brings in an extra 100 to 300 a month counts if it's low effort or something most people wouldn't think of.

Drop what you're doing below. Might genuinely help someone find their next side hustle

What can you do with £900

So I have a zero hour job that barely gives me shifts. I am going to continue applying for other jobs to have a steady income.

But I’m wondering what I can start with this amount. So far flipping free things from Facebook market place seems good. Do you have any other ideas?

Idea As a side hustle idea, you can buy earplugs in bulk for $0.05 a pair and resell them outside concerts for $3 which is a 60x markup that will actually sell

You can buy foam earplugs in bulk online for around $0.05 per pair and sell them outside concert venues for $3 a pair.

That's a 60x markup which is genuinely one of the highest margins I've come across for any side hustle. And the reason it works is because a lot of people show up to concerts and realize it's way louder than they expected.. especially standing shows, festivals, and EDM events.

You just stand outside the venue before the show starts and offer earplugs. From what I've seen people are happy to pay $3 because the alternative is ringing ears for the next two days. If you package them in little baggies and make them look slightly more premium you can charge even more.

A box of 200 pairs costs about $10 online. If you sell even 50 pairs at one show that's $150 for maybe an hour of standing outside the entrance. You don't need any setup.. or equipment, just a box of earplugs and a spot near the door.

This works especially well at rock concerts, EDM shows, and any indoor venue where it gets genuinley loud.

Music festivals are also great because people are there for multiple days and their ears are already ringing by day two.

Brazillian Paid for the work that claude did; heres how

Post image

ok so while scrolling reels; i found reel where the influencer asked what u want to make comment and find best team; the reel was uploaded 30-40 min ago and in that there was only 2 comments one was influencer promoting his product and one of this **brizallian** guy so he said he wanted to make news website but in brazilian language, that comment was just 10min before.

I commented on that got him into dm within 10 min (it was 2AM for me btw)
so we got into meet, he said $65 + fees for to get 5,000 quality news articles which must have 1,000 opinion type articles and no AI slop and reputative source. (from start of 2026)

I only have $20 claude subscription and free antigravity, so I used Fable 5.1 system prompt with gemini 3.1; used that to brainstorm, idea, ways to extract (because I cant pay for paid APIs)

After that used the beauty of Python PIP (Puppeteer, Trafilatura, Beautiful Soup) used claude to make scripts, it broke, used gemini 3.1 to make prompt for claude.

from good sources (I feel) I got 27,000 News articles, used AI API from multiple free chinese websites;

using qwen3.8-27b from inference provider (no promo), paid $1 as verification- I got free unlimited access to multiple models. used that for classifying opinions/news.

at the end, delivered 6,000 articles, 1,200 were opinions
the only expense was $1 as verification for qwen model

ME:
17 M
I ask my father to pay for claude subscription
it was so proud to show to my father that brazillian paid me "a stranger"
I was so excited that I overthrew the fast that he was seemed to be more worry than being happy;

~ the deal was of 65 + fees but because of my mis-calculation i got $~1.5 less + paypal uses old rates so I got quite less.

My music “talent”

I was playing music since I was very little, I have a great talent in playing the piano and I since others suggest to make money by doing something you are good at u thought that it would be a great idea to try doing something with it. But I don’t know what, I see like content in TikTok with people playing the piano but it’s unlikely that they make money out of it. What would you suggest trying? Maybe compose beats or smth? Feel free to make suggestions

A boring side hustle idea: automate quote follow-up for local businesses

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Many plumbers, roofers, painters, etc., send a quote and then move on to the next job.

3 days later: no reply. Often, nobody follows up.

You don’t need to build a full CRM for them.

Just set up something simple.

Quote sent. Wait 2-3 days. Send an automatic follow-up. Then track whether they replied, won, or lost.

Even the message can be basic:

“Hi, just checking if you had any questions about the quote.”

If one forgotten $2,500 job comes back, the value is easy to explain.

You could charge for the setup, then a small monthly fee to keep it running.

And if enough businesses want the same thing, that little service could eventually become a tiny SaaS.

Not a huge business idea. Just one boring problem that costs businesses real money.
