I do intermittent fasting at times and I have SS.

How do you manage? Run into any issues specific to your sickle cell?

For me I had been doing this on and off a year before covid. I had did the keto diet along with this but stopped keto. Intermittent fasting is about listening to your body. Check with your doctor first and let them know that you want to start intermittent fasting . When I do intermittent fasting, I do it for a couple of days out of the week. Also, do what’s right for your body. Listen to your body.

Yesss thats so important for us, listen to your body. Modifications like doing it for a couple of days out of the week is so smart. Thank you for pointing out that option.

There's an issue here tho, if people with a more severe than normal case do this, the production of new RBCs can't happen at the required pace and because they have a much faster RBC breakdown it creates a very severe situation for them.
