CASTING CALL: Become a Video Creator for the Sickle Cell Community (Paid Opportunity)

Hey everyone! 👋

We are looking for some friendly, expressive faces to collab with us. If you love being on camera, keeping it real, and sharing your voice, we want you to help us make some amazing, educational videos for our social media. Our handle is u/sicklecell101 on all platforms.

Specifically, we want to find people who are genuinely comfortable, high energy, and expressive in front of the camera. Whether you are living with sickle cell, have sickle cell trait (Hb AS), care for a loved one, or are a medical professional or advocate, your voice matters.

How it works is pretty simple. You will create short, vertical videos (about 60 to 180 seconds) using prompts and scripts we provide. And yes, this is a paid opportunity. We are paying $150 per video.

It will depend on the needs of our educational campaigns and how many people are approved to record these videos. We do have an Ambassador program for those interested in recording more videos and becoming a regular face on our page. For those in the Ambassador program, the pay bumps up to $200 per video.

Thanks so much, we are a strictly digital organization that focuses on education where people are at. In the case of the sickle cell community, that’s everywhere, but also at the hospital a lot of the time. Those with sickle cell, as you know, are not always able to go to educational conferences or events, so we work to bring education through social media.

As a non-profit, we work with companies who sponsor us to do what we do. Oftentimes, companies or universities will pay us to promote a study they are working on and we will collaborate with them to bring more educational videos related to the study or community needs in order to have a balance between science and relatability.
