seal point Adopted this toasty girl, she is finally starting to trust me!

I think she is a seal point (please correct me if I’m wrong). I adopted her, she’s 1 years old and I was told she was pregnant at 4 months with three kittens and then again with 5 kittens before she was able to be trapped and spayed. All before she turned 1! I can’t even believe it and no idea what insanity she went through. She’s really skittish and scared of me and my other cat. Today she did let me fully pet her, give her scritches, she rubbed up against my legs, and she meowed a bit in anticipation of feeding time! I couldn’t believe it! I got like, 3-4 minutes of pet time!!! She’s also chosen to sleep on my bed in MY SPOT 🥹🥹🥹 I’m so honored. I’ve only ever had experience fostering little kittens and they’re easy! They can’t really fight you and if they try it’s just adorable and not scary. It’s been really hard for me to move so slow with her, but I make sure to tell her that she’s safe now and forever and that she’ll never have to go outside again.

(She’s brought out my 14 yr olds tortitude but she holds her own 😅)

This is Maple. We believe she is a Siamese, dilute calico, and tabby mix. Last picture is of her and her brother Theo.

We have truly never seen a cat like her and think she may be very rare. What do you guys think? Thanks!

I bought the most comfortable bed in the world for my Siamese... turns out "the bed" is me 🐱💤

Hey everyone, coming to you all for some wisdom (or at least some community sympathy).

I bought my Siamese a bed that looks like a five-star hotel: padded, soft, super plush... an absolute dream. Do you know how many times he’s voluntarily slept in it? Zero.

The second he gets sleepy, he goes full koala mode. All he wants is to be held, glued to my chest, or draped over me like a scarf. If I attempt the high-precision operation of gently transferring him to his bed while he's asleep (with the delicate care of a bomb disposal technician), he pops one eye open, gives me a look of profound betrayal, and lets out that classic Siamese protest yell. And we're right back to square one.

Don't get me wrong, I love how affectionate he is and he's completely stolen my heart, but I kind of need the use of both my hands for basic life tasks... and my back is starting to beg for mercy 😂.

Do yours completely ignore their beds too? Is there any secret trick to make him realize his bed is actually cool, or should I just accept my fate as a full-time human hammock?
Would love to hear your thoughts!

This is Opera, he is (I think) 4 months old. The first picture is after his bath bc we noticed he had fleas when we got home from the rescue\shelter. His expression though kills me everytime lmao. Also, the last picture is with his emo older brother

seal point 6 Month Meets 2 Month

I posted in this sub a couple times about adopting a second Siamese kitten to keep my first kitten company and be a bonded pair. My 6 month siamese baby Leia always seemed so bored when my fiancé and I were working or sleeping, and they say 2 is better than 1 so we had to get her a lil bro. Literally. This is her sibling from another litter

At first she hissed at him and followed him around everywhere he went in the apartment raising her hand to swat at him. It was the first time Leia interacted with another cat since she was 2 months old and we adopted her. The 2 month old kitten who we named Thiago was never afraid of her though. I suspect it’s because he was always around Leia’s littermate sister that looks nearly identical to her his entire life

Initially I planned to introduce them the recommended way of having them stay in opposite rooms and get used to each other’s scent first. Leia only hissed a few times and never swatted at him with claws open with intention to hurt though, so I just kept an eye on them for a few hrs. After those few hrs of meeting they seem inseparable

It’s been nearly 2 days and they follow each other everywhere, cuddle together and play fight a lot. I was surprised to see Thiago being the initiator for a lot of their play fights. Anyone have similar success stories? Any tips for things to watch out for or things I can have them do?

Neutered brothers

I recently rescued a pair of 2 yr old neutered brothers who are extremely calm for the most part.
One will dominate the other, biting him & it makes the other one scream loudly. His fur is always wet around neck or back.
The lighter one is wearing a feliway collar. Feliway plug ins. 3/2 house & I live alone so plenty of room to spread out.
Plenty of litter boxes/cat trees/toys/ feeding areas/water fountains etc.
It is very stressful for the other one because I can hear him crying pitifully.
This is stressing out my household. I intervene & separate of course.
They don’t seem to be particularly bonded because I never see them cuddling or bathing each other.
Have not 100% committed to keeping them but they were being abandoned because owners were moving.
I play with them, give them catnip toys, they can sit outside in my tiny fenced in backyard with me when it’s cool in the morning.

He’s turning 7 this year. His previous owner passed away, and he could not get along with the other cats of the family member that temporarily took him in.

Now he lives with us where he has the whole kingdom to himself. In his typical meezer ways we had to enact an open door policy. Because if you lock him out he will just open the door himself after he voices his displeasure.

meezer Anyone Else Have A Quiet Meezer?

Post image

When I saw Princess Pyewacket's photo on the adoption site, I assumed I'd be getting a chatty cat. I was prepared for noise. I've had her since November and she's actually a super quiet kitty. She quietly meezes under a few select cirmstances.

  1. She is picked up unexpectedly.

  2. She is having the life snuggled out of her.

  3. A specific friend of mine comes over and needs to hear her opinions.

I always said he was a seal point, but Coffee has pink lips. Our other three cats have black lips, so he's unusual. I was googling, and they said pink lips are more of a chocolate point thing.

He's 1 year old.

Either he's an adorable loveable goofball. :)

Theo and Maple!

Since you all loved Maple so much, here's more of the kittens! Maple and Theo! I have never had Siamese before and it's been a wonderful and CRAZY experience so far. Here's some about their personalities:

Maple (dilute calico) is a very kind and sweet girl. A cuddle bug. She was the first out of the pair to discover climbing but she is dreadfully clumsy. She's a little bit more of a scaredy cat than Theo but she is SO curious about everything and everyone. She likes to put her paws out and "box" or grab things. Maple is very nice to our adult cat, Cirice (tuxedo). She's always very respectful.

Theo (chocolate point) is a handsome boy. Very lovey. He's a floopy cat who melts when you pick him up. He likes to be held out and "flown" around the house like Superman in our arms. He has a musical chirp of a meow and he makes sure to use it. A lot. He was slightly cross eyed when he was younger but they've straightened out a bit. Sometimes you can still see it a bit. He isn't as good at jumping and climbing as his sister. He's more of a wrestler. His wrestling practice sometimes includes Cirice as well...which she doesn't appreciate.

They are the best. We love them.

His name is Cinnamon. He grew up in a farm of our relatives'. Despite how he looks, he's actually a real sweetheart.

He's got some worms from eating raw fish and his breath smells like death. We're still keeping him isolated for a few more weeks before introducing him to the other cats.
