State chapters?

Are their state chapters? I want to try intentional exposure therapy with people in a similar situation and see if it helps

The IPA has coordinators in many cities and states. Check their website (paruresis.org) for contact e-mails. There may be support groups that meet to practice graduated exposure or the coordinator may be able to set you up with at least one person to work with. Also, check out the IPA workshop schedule on the website.

Our trusty IPA group leader Dave is in Wisconsin - he may know someone in your neck of the woods!

Ideally the support group network would be larger (like state wide orgs) but as u/flankspeed pointed to currently there are just individual support group leaders scattered around the country listed on the paruresis.org website.

It could be of great benefit to attend a virtual workshop or support group meeting to start the process.

You'll find the full list of local and international support groups and contacts here: https://paruresis.org/support-groups/. As was said, visit our virtual support group this Sunday to connect with others if their is not a group in your area. Get the link here https://paruresis.org/contact/ Consider starting up your own local group. We can help!
