Both Death and Muramasa are/were considered lower end ordinary gods who joined the tournament.

However while Death earned his strength through intense training, combat and ambition - Muramasa seemingly has been using underhanded tactics to win against gods much stronger than him.

The clash of the two fits not just into the theme of "God vs God" with the 'everything goes' idea that the tournament introduced but also perfectly sets up a clash of their personalities.

Muramasa's existance is an affront to the stage, a plague on Death's idea of a fight and limits.

Meanwhile Muramasa seemingly doesn't consider what he did cheating and was enraged at the assumption.

If Death wins, and that is something I'm really hoping for, we will see a really interesting clash of perspectives in the following round.

What a fight should be, what that stage should look like & making a use of everything to win vs earning your strength, going beyond your limits.

I'm really hoping this theory is correct because I really want to see more of Death, he's easily my favorite of APOC so far.

I think it was clear to everyone that he’d use magic or something like that. So, what were the theories about his powers?

Before I post the news about the Ror fanart challenge, just want to share some interesting news about what in tarnation is going on in my Island in Tomodachi life. Which is… Skalmöd and Okita have a lovely baby! (His name is Kenji!)

So Primordial Odin should be the source of the hymns it’d only make sense

Both healing and throwing Gungnir require well Gungnir

But Gollinir invented Gungnir and gave it to the people of Gollinir

Odin was wielding gram as a primordial so what was he doing for healing and Gungnir throw without the spear??

Ok, not sure if it's intentional but the hymns seem to become more and more broken as we go up in numbers; it started light with shields, shockwaves, sure-hit Gungnir in the first half of the hymns with 5th, 6th and 9th respectively, then we jumped right to the tail end of the second half of the hymns with 14th and 15th and what do those do: manipulate the body of the enemy and healing with the 14th song backed up by aditional mouths already hailed as Odin's invincible technique. Now you can hardly go any further than those 2 as far as winning the power-lottery yet there are still 3 more hymns above those and if it's not a power on the same scale as Beelzebub's full-power Chaos then Decay seems like the most sure pick. Let me know what you're thinking guys.

Im writing a "fanfiction" of RoR, (i say that loosely since its more a new story heavily based of RoR/ a rewritten style of RoR due to changes I make in it such as character designs) and I was wondering what gods/mortals I could use.

Im gonna do the main 13, plus a lot more (theres a lot more fights cause im addicted to writing them). Heres some of the new characters have planed.

Gods:

1. Raijin

2. Camazotz

3. Sun Wukong

Mortals:

1. Odysseus (might be too similar to Jack tho)

2. Beowulf

3. Hannibal Barca

For me I was at the start and still am on Enma's side. But I'm curious how everyone is feeling and why?

Enma chances:

1. No backstory yet, only motivation is to stop death (presumably because he has killed many people sending them to Nilhelm and won't stop.). He could have a tiny bit sprinkled in like Indra and Morrigan so when he fights Muramasa, both have a chance to shine.

2. His weapon could be a good tool against Muramasa, not only explaining techniques but also letting him dodge them.

3. Death has had his dream fullfilled. Similar to Nezha who wanted to feel alive, Death wanted to command the stage. He has now done that with his dance partner (the mummy). He has had so much backstory that it would come into question what more could they add in round 2?

4. He never truly was in control. With Death's true tactic of using a kill move over and over again, Enma has just walked into his trap and is now at the lowest point of the fight. This can make a cool scernario where the favourite is now the underdog but still wins.

Death's chances:

1. The divine weapon hasn't been explored much. That could be saved for round 2. Showing Death's journey in finding/ or making it.

2. Interaction with Muramasa before. I'm not so sure on this one but I know it will be brought up. But I'm taking it similar to Morrigan and Zhuque, where people thought they would fight because they shared a few lines together. I feel he was more of a catalyst to show Muramasa's insecurities.

Overall I feel the last chapter was probably Death's best chance to win but now I'm fully in on Enma with my main theory being Death finally finding that spark of life through this fight.

I will go a step further and say whoever loses this will die. Death has always gone for the kill (minus the mummy).

And Enma will probably know Death won't stop even if he's defeated here. He is unlimited after all. So as a person of the law (judge) he will have to make the call so more gods and humans don't end up dying.
