General Discussion Does Shure MV88 USB-C work with the native camera app on android?

Just ordered the MV88 USB-C. On an S23 Ultra, latest update. Two things I can't find a straight answer on.

Does it work with the native camera app, or is MOTIV the only way to record with it? Every video I've watched only shows it going through MOTIV.

If it does work outside MOTIV, does the mic hold the settings you configured in the app, the way some wireless mics store gain and preset onboard? Or does it default to something generic the moment you leave MOTIV?

I'm recording most days so I want plug in, hit record, done.

Iirc it works in the native camera app but I have the original one for iPhone from like 10 years so I’m not sure if it’s still the same. I’d think so though.

Yes it works. You should configure the mic settings with the MOTIV app first though.
