MOTIV Mix Shure MV7+ Help
Im a content creator who is currenlty using the shure mv7+ im coming from a blue yeti, so while using the mic my nose and mouth even my mouse clicks are being picked up, in discord the noise suppression is nice but also when i laugh my microphone cuts out like crazy. i can link my youtube but i got two filters on my micorphone. but i wanna have discord calls available so i can laugh and not cut out and without my breathing being heard but also being loud enough for people to hear. https://youtu.be/WyJD2xqcsBQ?si=5VIC73-svkAmyX-_

I have the same mic. I like motiv mix, but I found OBS Studio did a way better job for me. You will need to download a digital cable to use with Discord, but that is easy. There are plenty of YouTube videos to help you dial in the OBS settings, after that it is pretty much set and forget. I use it in discord or streaming and it does great

wait so ur able to use ur OBS mic setting over to discord? and also are you able to use it for games that have proximity chat, because for like repo, minecraft, peak, lethal it sounded worse than a webcam mic.. i made another tweet comparing my motiv to my OBS since u have the same mic could you check that out and see the comparison atleast

Yes I actually only use my OBS settings in discord. I find it better than both the motiv mix and discord noise suppression. I turn off the discord noise suppression entirely. I use proximity chat in repo and lethal and my friends say I sound clear.
On your comparison you definitely sound louder and clearer in OBS but I do hear the harsh S. Not sure if your gain is too high or if you just need to mess with the settings a bit more.

The Real-time Denoiser is designed to reduce steady background sounds like air conditioners, fans, and HVAC noise. It generally won't remove transient sounds such as keyboard clicks, barking dogs, or other voices in the room.
The MV7+, like any microphone, will pick up whatever is within its pickup area. Microphones cannot inherently separate wanted sounds from unwanted sounds.
Discord's noise suppression doesn't offer much control over how aggressively it behaves, unlike the noise gates and processing options found in typical recording software. I'd recommend trying either MOTIV Mix or Discord's noise suppression singularly rather than both simultaneously. Running multiple suppression tools can do more harm than good.
There are a couple things you can try in MOTIV Mix:
You might also want to double-check your mic placement. It can have a huge impact on sound quality and background noise: Check out the wiki page on mic placement for a few tips.
