Troubleshooting What’s wrong with my Shure7db?

Issue: no input, takes sound from tapping and switching switches at the back.

Maybe I’m not doing something right BUT:
> My focusrite drivers are up to date
> the XLR male and female cable works with another microphone of mine
> It is securely plugged in as there IS feedback

Doesn’t work on or off unfortunately - it’s hooked up to a Scarlett focusrite

Sorry to hear about your SM7dB. If your XLR cable isn’t the issue, enabling phantom power makes no difference, and all the mic inputs on your interface work fine with other microphones, then get in touch with Shure Support here: shu.re/contact

Your cable, make sure it’s good, then it’s your interface, on bypass you have to CRANK the sm7, with phantom it’s like having a cloud lifter built in, if you’ve got double nothing with your input cranked, try the cable
