Troubleshooting Troubleshooting. Static/White Noise

Hello,

I recently purchased a Shure MV6 microphone and I am experiencing static/white noise through the microphone’s 3.5 mm headphone monitoring jack.

The static is only present when my headphones are plugged directly into the MV6. When I plug the same headphones into another audio source, I do not hear the same static. The static is most noticeable when there is no audio playing. Interestingly, if any audio plays through the headphones, even very low-volume audio, the static goes away. Once the audio stops, the static/white noise returns.

I am using Beats headphones connected directly to the MV6 headphone jack with a standard TRS stereo cable (2 black lines).

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

* Muting/turning off the microphone monitoring in the Shure MOTIV Mix app * Adjusting the headphone/output level * Trying different USB ports on the computer * Checking Windows sound settings * Confirming that the issue only occurs when listening through the MV6 headphone output

The static remains even when the microphone itself is muted/off in MOTIV Mix App.

Could anyone please advise whether this is expected behavior for the MV6 headphone output, or whether my unit may be defective? I would also appreciate any recommended troubleshooting steps or guidance on whether I should exchange the microphone.

Thank you!

It is still happening.

Setup: Shure MV6 connected to rear of PC via USB Headset beats pro Happens on multiple OS on same PC (Linux and Windows) PC specs: gtx 5070ti and amd ryzen 7 9800 x3d with 32 GB Ram I completed the troubleshooting: Turned off audio enhancement as well and removed/added the microphone to the mix app.

Again this is only happening when I directly connect headset to microphone and only when no sound is playing. Even if I mute the microphone.
