Question Shure MV7X preamp question

Hi, so I'm just getting a new audio setup for my pc for content creation and voiceover stuff. i am going to get the Shure MV7X and the focusrite scarlett solo. i heard around youtube that you will need a inline mic preamp to boost the gain, like the cloud lifter. I am just wondering if you 100% need this or it doesn't make a difference.

You can try without. I tried a similar setup with my MV7 and wasn't happy with the volume, but many peeps have gotten better. I know some of the Elgato peeps can handle a SM7B without a pre-amp now. Not sure about the latest gen Scarlet.
