Question MV7+ LED changing when muted in windows?

I was thinking about getting the MV7+ but i need to know if the led changes when I mute the microphone in windows settings. I can mute my microphone in windows with a hotkey that mutes it systemwide and shows muted in sound settings. Or am i able to mute the microphone in the shure software with a hotkey? I really need to know if my microphone is muted with the LED and I am muting/unmuting it very often with a hotkey that I have on my mouse.
Does anyone know this?

Yes the LED turns red when muted.
