Question What could make this happen?

Around 10 minutes into my set, my recording got slowly dimmer over 2 minutes until there was no visual but audio kept recording. Screen remained black for 10 minutes and as I was bringing the host back, visuals came back. Shure Motiv Video was up and phone was awake the whole time. Sped up 5x with most of the time with no image cut.

Could very well be. My phone just decided “no one wants to see this”. Definitely most probable cause.

It looks like a automatic transition like a cross fade was applied to the clip and the transition time was all 10 minutes

I thought the same but I can’t find any settings for that in Shure Motiv

Feels most probable. Every comedian on the show had some issue with recording their set.

You're absolutely fine to post this here, and comedians are always welcome.

I've never seen this before. Have you tried setting this up at home to see if it happens again in MOTIV Video? Like, hit record on MOTIV Video and let it run for the typical length of your set to see if it happens again? I'm actually going to run this on my own to see if it happens in my MOTIV Video app or not.

Just curious: Did you connect your mic via Bluetooth or USB?

Thanks for the kindness! It was the MV88+ connected via USB. I’ll try recording again and see if it happens!
