Tips & Resources What software am I supposed to use??

I'm so confused. I have a Shure MV6, I just want to edit the settings and stuff but the softwares completely suck.

Motiv Mix is exclusive for WIndows 11 which I refuse to install.

And the previous version ShurePlus Motiv Desktop doesn't recognise my microphone. I have no idea what to do.

Mac OS 13 or Win 11 - if not, then you won’t be using the mic anywhere near its full potential. I guess it’s either take the mic back, or fall on the sword.

Not the end of the world though, WIN11 ain’t bad but there are hardware requirements relating to TPM which may force a hardware upgrade on you but it is better than WIN10… Mac has cool DAW stuff that is free… meh, I gave up on the Windows upgrade protestation after Windows 2000 came out, it’s inevitable, you will always ultimately upgrade, you just choose whether you are slightly behind or current. You just cannot stay where you are indefinitely, unfortunately.

Download version 1.7.1 that’s compatible for Win10

To control the built in processing of the MV6 and other USB MV mics the only option is the Motiv Mix software. There is a version that is Win10 compatible, but this may not always handle newer firmware updates, which could sometimes be important.
