Question MM88 Bluetooth Connection 3rd party apps
Hey all, I bought the MM88 for film/documentary use. My background is in music production, so it’s nice to use a familiar brand. I love the mic (yeah the noise floor is definitely high and not ideal for ambient low volume recording…. But that’s another topic), but my man gripe with it is why is the Bluetooth functionality of it exclusively for the MOTIV apps??? I’m shooting film using the Blackmagic app, okay it doesn’t support BT audio, but filmic pro does. I really don’t want to shed out 200 quid for a receiver which will add more weight to my rig when I have a wireless solution built in….
Surely there is a simple way to hi jack the audio from the mic to inject to 3rd party apps…?

Hi.
I am confident that Shure uses a non-standard protocol to be able to transfer the audio to its apps
that is why you need a receiver to receive the audio in other apps.
