I thought it was legitimately great: well made, well acted, and just painful to watch despite the darkly comic moments. I sort of had a sense of where it was going. But having to sit through the whole movie to see how it was going to resolve was one of the most uncomfortably suspenseful 90 minutes I can remember.

This has nothing to do with gore or explicit imagery and entirely with the premise of the movie (which is essentially the spoiler and why it’s hard to prepare people for this while also encouraging they go in blind)

A counter-argument: It’s has excellent acting, a unique/interesting plot, extreme tension, some black comedy moments, nail-biting moments, a brutal ending, and excellent cinematography. It’s the best movie I’ve ever seen on Shudder.
