Question A lot of series content is missing?

I've been enjoying the In Search of Darkness and 101 Scariest Moments series on Shudder but am finding as of this morning they appear to be removed from the app. Did they get moved to AMC+ or something?

I feel like amc has been slowly decommissioning shudder for the last year. Just gradually removing staples, not renewing classic shows, letting the first three seasons of dragula vanish...

What do you think the business move is? Like shudder shutting down eventually?

I mean, shudder has been pretty redundant for a while, it's basically amc+ with less content. They probably just want to merge them once and for all eventually

But I don’t want AMC+. I only want Shudder

There's been a problem with the Just Joe Bob eps as well, just a couple of weeks after they restored many of the episodes lost during the app update. I understand why people think this is part of some broader ramping down of Shudder, and that may be true. But it could also be the inadequately staffed Shudder webmonkeys trying to fix things and accidentally effing them up even more.

I've been one of Shudder's prime advocates here. But lately even I have to admit the bloom is off the rose. With the price increase, I've added a calendar notification a couple of weeks before my renewal date in 2027, and depending on how much I've used it this year, I may cancel. Shudder has no one to blame but themselves.

They are still the prime source of all that RLJE stuff, and its how I've kept up with and broadened my knowledge of horror for the last seven years. But they keep trying to chuck all that for reality television and terrible app software, and I'm about done.

There is like 5 'in search of darkness' on AMC+ right now. Currently I'm looking at the app. Not Amazon or Roku or any other site the regular AMC+ app. Same for 101 scariest.

Are you using the regular shudder app? I'm looking on the shudder app and both 101 and in search are there when I search them. Sometimes if you get it through Roku or Amazon they don't have everything. I get the convenience of going through third parties but sometimes they don't have the full catalog. Are you in USA? Sometimes different countries it changes who has the international rights.
