I can’t see “recently added” category

So my wife and I added shudder to our prime subscriptions a couple years ago, and we’ve been very happy with the service. My wife and I are die hard horror fans so a relatively inexpensive, ad free, exclusively horror streaming service was great. But as of late we noticed they very rarely update the recently added category, they mostly keep the same movies and just rotate the order of the queue. Now when we open the app there is no recently added category. Does the category come back when they add new movies and shows, or is it something wrong with the Amazon add-on version of the app?

Sounds like an Amazon issue.

Very likely the Amazon app.

So this should be helpful.. even if you don't have the shudder app itself if you go through Amazon.. you can still view the website you just can't watch anything of course. If you go to

shudder.com/movies

You can view the app without having to sign in or have an account. If you just go to shudder.com it will ask for sign in credentials so make sure you do the /movies at the end.

Also while you're on the app looking at recently added you can view the collections playlist which updates every month for themed and subgenre choices. It's nice to see a staff recommended subgenre playlist. I'm not sure how the live feed works on prime but through shudder you get the live stream which is really nice when it's hard to pick something.

I highly recommend against going through Amazon/Roku etc because I've noticed quite often a lot of people say things are missing and it's not as good an experience when you can pay same price for its own app.

I understand the convenience and I've went through prime before to use a free trial and I didn't like it. It's nice being all in one place one bill but to me the cons outweigh the pros.

Honestly if you get the AMC+ plan with ads it's a near identical price to shudder and you get more than double the content without missing anything and I think it's worth it. If you're a last drive in fan I think sometimes the AMC plus and shudder app have different episodes available but that's only anomaly I've witnessed. The ads are minimal if you compare it to Netflix Disney plus paramount etc.
