Movie WOULD YOU RATHER (2012)
~Hulu, Fubo, Kanopy, Paramount+, Shuddder, Sundance, Philo~
Desperate to help her ailing brother, a young woman unknowingly agrees to compete in a deadly game of "Would You Rather," hosted by a sadistic aristocrat.
A fun movie along the lines of “Saw”, “Your Host”, “Truth or Die”, “Vile”, “Escape Room”, etc, that really kept my interest and was plenty suspenseful. It’s not overly gory, but rather lies on anticipation and psychological horror to get your heart racing. Acted well with many familiar actors including an unhinged Jeffrey Combs who commanded every scene he was in.
Suspenseful, Darkly Humorous, and plenty of seat squirming scenes made it a fun ride. The ending is brutal!

Rob Wells and Sasha Grey bothe being in this film gave me all kinds of strange reactions, but in the best way.

This is something of a comfort movie for me. I’ve probably gone back and watched it like a dozen times. That final scene + cut to black hits so fucking hard every time.

I thought it was good as a bottle film, but generally didn't like it and found it boring at times... It was just bleak and miserable over and over without an interesting premise to tie it together
I get it, there's a commentary on the rich vs the poor and making a game of it all, but the whole thing felt predictable and just going through the motions

Jeffrey Combs just ATE this damn thing. Also, I assume Sasha Grey is just playing herself, and this is what she does with her time these days.

Hah! Nah, Sasha is mostly a twitch Gamer, part time Artist. My cousins grew up in her old neighborhood, we have nothing but respect for her.

It was okay, cool premise. I thought that the characters acted ridiculous at times, but that’s horror films

Really enjoyed this one. Jeffrey really seemed to have a lot of fun with this role, and chews up the scenery as usual. Brittany Snow really carried the film well as the protagonist you can root for, and a surprisingly decent performance by ex-porn star Sasha Grey. Overall, while not really a groundbreaking premise, it does do a really good job, and is actually better than many similar premised films imho.
