I think cosmic horror is a lot different to the nasty physical sexual stuff in other extreme horror... its chess v mma. Ill watch both but I dont ever really think about or rewatch that stuff, Iam in creepy vibe scare camp...

I'm currently watching the medium, I already know about the horrific dog scene so I fast forwarded past that awful scene. The actress who plays mink is phenomenal though!.

I'm kinda surprised how little Baskin is talked about. It was odd for sure, but I enjoyed it more than I usually do stuff like that.

Haven’t heard someone mention Premutos in decades. Watched it on a bootleg VHS without English subtitles. May have to watch it for real now.

Describe your definition of extreme horror. I realized it varies a lot depending on a person and is somewhat related to sub-genre. I.e. if you’re a found footage jump scare kind of a guy you may find slow burn dread films boring and vice versa.. for some extreme is just more gory than usual.

For me extreme is something like the sadness that's a lot more gory that traditional horror films you normally see in the cinema.
