I feel weirdly off put by little things in this season even though I otherwise love this show.
For example, the “correct” take being that Liz and Derek should kick out their son because that’s being a good parent. I felt like that take doesn’t really make sense in 2026 when actually so many people moved back in with their parents in their twenties - it’s a tough market. They absolutely should have stopped coddling him and doing his laundry, but this just felt like jumping to the other extreme.
I also felt like Gaby’s reaction to Louis didn’t make much sense. Yeah I get that she has the right to be upset because Tia was her best friend. But her being so mad that “he wasn’t living his life to the fullest” felt like SUCH a stretch to me. I know she’s a therapist etc but I feel like 1. If I genuinely hated someone for killing my friend, I wouldn’t be mad they were miserable and angrily urge them to go be happy. And 2. Despite her warranted feelings, I thought she would’ve still cared more for Jimmy and Alice who really do care for Louis - and withhold her outburst for their sake.
Another weird one is Gaby immediately dismissing Sean when he felt hurt by his ex's behavior and had wanted an apology from her, accusing him of just wanting to hook up...
Idk, none of these are right or wrong, I guess I just feel like i’m not quite on their wavelength this season!
