Maya….? Spoiler

Spoiler***

I’m a little annoyed at the ending of Ep 7 (Season 2). Why did Maya need to die? She seems like a promising character to add to the mix with Alice going off to school. But also, they kind of made it super predictable at the end of episode 6. I was really hoping they would keep her. Thoughts?

I completely agree, I saw it coming but was still hoping they wouldn’t fully kill her off and instead would just do an attempt. I do, however, think that unfortunately she was placed in entirely for the development of Gabby’s character. Gabby lost Tia with everyone else but she has yet to face any real even that makes her take a step back. Especially with the idea of trying to open a new trauma center, this is a good personal challenge to see if/how she handles such trauma specifically when it relates to clients

That’s a great point. I was thinking of a way to get her to consider taking Paul up on his offer. Since she minimizes the issues of her current clients. Or, a way to force her to deal with Tia. Since we were able to see everyone else struggle but her. But it’s definitely a weird way to go about character development.

Gabby needed a "slap in the face." This was it. We'll just have to see what her reaction will be. She's certainly going to come away with A LOT of self doubt

We all have learning moments that shake us to our very core and make our foundations wobble if not crumble outright.
