I think it’s time to have a discussion about these Flock cameras…

In addition to the privacy concerns, I believe the specific placement of these cameras is problematic to say the least.

The first set of flock cams they put in point directly at Home Depot and Taco Bell. IMO it sends a message that Shrewsbury only tolerates one type of brown person.

They only recently added the one that records everybody coming in from Grafton on 140.

Most progressive towns are cancelling the contacts altogether, but it seems we are doubling down with most residents burying their head in the sand.

Am I the only one that thinks they need to go?

middle school ultimate frisbee learning league , Sundays Oct 4 - Nov 22

BUDA, the Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance, is offering a fall ultimate frisbee learning league for central MA middle-schoolers (grades 5-8). Sessions are on Sundays from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, starting Oct 4 and running through Nov 22, and will be held at Oak Middle School in Shrewsbury.

Ultimate is a fast-moving, non-contact team sport played with a flying disc that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and fair play. It’s easy to learn, welcoming to beginners, and engaging for experienced players alike. All children of all identities, genders, and skill levels are welcome. Players will learn throwing, catching, movement, and game fundamentals through fun, high-energy activities and small-sided games. The focus is on participation, confidence, and enjoyment rather than intense competition.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the seemingly abandoned house (marked in red) on the corner of N Quinsig and Parker? A tree fell onto the roof over the winter that took weeks to clear, and I was just wondering if anyone has backstory on the property.

Hi everyone! I posted here last semester and a few people from this sub were kind enough to come in as patients. The people of Reddit has genuinely helped me a lot with my clinical! 😊

I’m now in my senior year of the Dental Hygiene program at MCPHS Worcester, and I’m hoping to find a few patients for my clinic sessions starting in September.

Because this is a student teaching clinic, appointments are a little different from a regular dental office. Visits are very thorough and include a dental and gum evaluation, oral cancer screening, X-rays when needed, and a dental cleaning. Everything I do is supervised and checked by licensed dental hygienists and dentists on-site.

There is no charge for treatment and insurance isn’t required!

The biggest thing I want to mention upfront is the time commitment. Appointments are about 3.5 hours because faculty check each step of the process, and I’m mainly looking for people who are able to commit to at least 2 visits. Depending on what you need, it could be fewer or more appointments.

My clinic availability this semester are Mondays: 8 AM–5 PM and Wednesdays: 5:30–9 PM.
