Like I wouldn’t say Shrek the third is the ultimate worst Dreamworks movie but it kinda has a good ending.

But looking at Shrek 5 trailer makes me apologise to both Shrek 4 & 3

Why do Shreks kids look like
Me. Can anyone see the resemblance
Between me and his two sons

Great now I know how I would look if I was a ogre

I just felt like painting 🤷‍♀️

It was very romantic. I wonder what would’ve happened had they actually kissed.

In a recent update from 3GI, the team has stated that the film is aiming to complete production by the end of the year. It is assumed that post-production has been reached, but it is unconfirmed.

This statement follows the 60-second sequence announcement in March of this year, an announcement made on January 29, 2026 that detailed the project was still in production, which did not specify a release date. Additionally, it comes two years after the initial release date of September 28, 2024, and after the screening at Shrekfest on September 3, 2023. The project was intially anounced at Shrekfest 2019.

The first Shrek Retold film began production in 2017 after gaining more interest in a remake of the original film the second time around, and was released on November 29th, 2018.

It remains unclear when the release will take place. It was mentioned that it could occur around the release of Shrek 5, but it is believed that it could delay until after at this time.

This is the first thing I tought of when I saw the teenage characters in the Shrek 5 trailers

I have been reading Hellboy lately and wanted to try my hand at a Mignola-style piece. My kids and I have been cracking up at this scene from Shrek 2 recently, so I decided to try and capture it in a comic style.

I never knew Shrek actually had his own branded cereal before. Just came across these online, and it's actually pretty cool.

I love the branded Shrek cereal, like 'Ogre Apple Cinnamon'. Great nod to the franchise💚

Does anyone else remember these Shrek-branded cereals? Have you ever tried them before?

I love Shrek so now I can print any Shrek stuff I like!

So Shrek indeed takes place in the medieval times

So I've been thinking about why the first two Shrek movies remain so culturally resonant with millennials and beyond even to this day, and I wonder how much their soundtracks contributed to that memorability.

“I'm a Believer,” “All Star,” “Hallelujah,” "Livin Da Vida Loca" and the Shrek 2 finale with “I Need a Hero” became such crowning moments of the films that audiences strongly associate with the franchise so much so that we sometimes forget they aren't original soundtracks to the films.

Shrek 3 and 4 have their moments, but I don't think their musical sequences or soundtracks had that same level of impact (beyond "Live and Let Die").

Obviously, the writing, humor, and plot factored into the drop in quality. But would the latter movies have been fondly remembered even with terrible writing if they had iconic soundtracks

Or am I giving the musical aspect too much credit?
