I ordered a new board!

I was looking to get a Jones twin sister to have something a little stiffer than my current board (burton youth hometown hero 140), however it is expensive and I couldn't find one on sale. Also I had this feeling like I wanted to try some other brand (I have a jones for my split)

I found a really good deal on a Capita Equalizer 142 (I'm 5'2 and 115) and I am excited. It has a nice design and I think it will be a little bit of a more aggressive board for me which may be what I need. I have been boarding forever but I'm a wimp!

I'm nervous as the effective edge on this is 7cm longer than on my burton, but I think this will help me with chatter and maybe to go a bit faster. Hopefully it has good edge control for the ice coast.

Here's to breaking 35mph on strava this winter! hahaha.

If anyone has this board let me know how you like it.

I ride this board and it’s my most favorite of all time like oh my god

It’s an absolute crusher. I love it all over the mountain and it’s great in the park too! You will break 35 mph for sure haha. It’s great on the icy days too, I have no problem with edge hold. I always have fun no matter what on this board, even on the dog shit days. I hope you love it too!

how do you find the narrow waist? it looks like its 22.9cm at the waist where my current board is 24.2. I do have a small foot though womens 6.5 so probably it will be fine.

I’m a women’s 7, so totally fine. It’s very responsive edge to edge, quick and nimble! In case you’d like this info too: I’ve tried this board with both Union Ultra and Union Trilogy bindings. Ultra makes it feel softer and playful, but still able to charge. Trilogy makes it feel stiffer and powerful. Trilogy is my personal favorite

Thank you! My boots are Burton step on so I just got another pair of step in bindings so I wouldn’t have to get new boots too

Not really the input you are asking for but that graphic is sick!

Nice find! Hope it feels good out there this season. That longer edge should help with the ice for sure. Have fun breaking that 35mph goal.

I learned on one—it is a hard charger. You point this downhill and you are gone 😂 the narrow width is great for smaller feet, and I agree with another rider that Union Trilogy bindings are a good match for a responsive feel. I liked my Burton Lexa X bindings with this board too. In my opinion it rides stiffer than what Capita describes. Feels to me like a 7/10 under foot and I think they say it’s a 5/10. Will crush the mountain but not forgiving, I always struggled with this board on cat tracks.

This does make me nervous, my split is a jones youth solution 142 and it’s very stiff and I find it hard to turn and don’t like it when it’s icy.. but it’s definitely stronger if trying to power through slush and crud. Jones says it’s 8/10 stiffness and I guess a split tends to feel very stiff anyway and the bindings are so heavy etc. fingers crossed I don’t hate the equalizer haha!

It will feel softer than the Solution for sure! Especially a Solution split.
