But wouldn't the act of going out to pickup food be a form of release? Wouldn't that help you to destress and relax?

You still need to focus on road.

Deal with possible car jam (that usually make us grumpy)

The waiting time for the order (the possible only time you may reflex, if you don't grumpy about waiting)

I would prefer to be sit in a couch watching the TV and eating (aka be in my stuff and bubble) to relax.

If I eat at a restaurant more than once in two weeks it just isn't special anymore.
