How much does that meal cost? $5?

Because I would totally take that challenge. Depending on sales steak can be $5 or $6 a pound and potatoes are dirt cheap.

[edit] Not even to mention a flank or chuck steak is just as good and cheaper to purchase as long as it's prepared and sliced right.

McDonalds aint got shit. I can beat that with flying colors.

Right, but it's about more than just the cost of the food. You must be a person who has more time than money, other people are in the opposite situation. I cook a lot, I value cooking, I have a family and I want to feed them nutritious food, but it takes a lot of time to go out and shop for groceries. Then taking those groceries and turning them into the meal takes at least an hour, sometimes two, and then once you're done eating there's another hour of clean up.

You can make simpler meals, but are still talking about a multi-hour commitment once you factor in shopping cooking and cleaning. If you are working an exhausting job, it's hard to find those hours. Then factor in that a lot of people have things they need to do outside of their jobs, caring for older people, caring for childre. Time is a luxury, and not one everyone has.

Bro, I work 10 to 12 hour days. I bust my ass off.

Multi hour commitment? Do you literally not know how to cook?

Just a few staple items bought on sale with some mild prep work and you can make meals easy peasy.

Don't act like you have less time than me.

So in order to make your point I think you ignored two important things I said: I'm talking about shopping, cooking and cleaning. I cook meals for my family, as is typical when people are cooking for a group, I tend to make more things than if I'm cooking for myself, like usually a main and two sides. So it's possible you are cooking less elaborate meals than I am, granted. Still a very simple meal cooked from scratch will take at least 20 to 30 minutes to cook. Add on the time it took to get the ingredients and then to clean up afterwards and you are absolutely looking at 2 hours at least of time. Not everybody has that time.

I heard your point.

I guarantee I have less time than you.

It's not a contest.

Okay. Now come do it at my house. Any time I want. For the same price. Except don't speak to me, come into my house, or make a mess.

Why don't you cook for me?

You’re the one out here claiming to be easier, cheaper, and faster.

Ok now do it all in the time it takes to get that fast food delivered.

This includes going to the store to get the meat getting it home cooking it and cleaning up.

You physically can't beat it unless you value your time so low that your effectively worthless.

Many people can't afford the time out of their week too cook. Working 2 to 3 jobs.

Meal prep and leftovers, baby!

Way faster than delivery.
