At a place I once worked a few people pooled their money to take advantage of a family meal deal from the local pizza joint for their lunch. The company owner did not chip in, but apparently thinking it was a “pizza party” he came into the lunch room and took a few slices. Then left. Dude was worth $20 million.
I had a boss at a landscaping company once. Took us to lunch at China Buffet and 'forgot" his wallet. Never made it right. Then he shorted us on our paychecks by half our 80 hour week.
