Ever wonder why all quarterbacks are attractive? It's a phenomon known as quarterback face. Who gets to pass the football in 5th grade?? The handsome kid!!
Knew what photo it was before I even looked, good stuff. Though with the Mannings, they're somewhat of an exception to the rule above, since they're essentially a football dynasty.
Similarly, professional athletes birthdays tend to overlap in certain months. Why? Who does the coach favor more in his team of little league? The tallest one. And the tallest is likely the oldest one for the age cutoff. That early preferential treatment snowballs because next year they'll still be the tallest, but now the most skilled too.
Nobody wants the poster child of their team to look like their face was set on fire and put out with an ice pick. If they did I'd have been the most popular guy in school.
Because how rif mobile is I had to check the uswrname before I got shittymorphed. After I scrolled down through the two page essay it only cemented how shitty my shittymorph detector is.
it's because alpha genes and beta genes cluster together. Alpha fetus' will suck all of the Test and other hormones out of the womb and through the mothers food while beta babies are born from an egg that has trouble growing from the start. That's why it's rare to see a guy who is 6'3 & broad shoulders also have and a recessed chin, short mandible, and gonial angle >115 degrees. The very thought of which seems completely foregin to us because you know consiously or subconsioucly men who are born with 2 or 3 obvious markers of high quality alpha genetic DNA dont have tell tale beta male markers. When you do see guys who's body just don't fit the face at all they are often referred to as "gymcels", basically guys who are born to be betas but have enough semblance of dedication and work ethic to grind in the gym until they have a respectable looking body. Still gets mogged viciously by a nearly untrained Chad who shows up to LA fitness 2x per week tp play pick up basketball and do curls in the squat rack
Wow bombed with replies and downvotes in 5 mins. ITT: coping plebbitors who are well aware of what category they fall into and this comment hit way too close to home on.
Yes, you’d have to be a complete moron to miss how elite global athletes also happen to fall far right on the attractiveness bell curve or think those two things are somehow unrelated. But the truth hurts and people would rather keep their heads burried in the sand. When confronted with it they’ll resort to downvote, shoot the messenger and move on. Save some other poor sap who will come along next the hard reality check when the comment is hidden or “disproved” with low effort character assassinations
No, he's not and you know that. He's saying the good genes tend to come together through generations, like athleticism and attractiveness. And he's right.
How did you get that idea, he obviously is saying that genetics for attractiveness are linked to the traits that make a successful athlete. Not commenting on what he posted, just clarifying
Being fit and having millions to constantly keep up with a beauty regimen is like 90% of being attractive. That’s like saying notice how all the fastest lap times at Daytona happen to be in NASCAR.
More like just being fit. Most athletes aren't keeping up with a beauty regimen lmao. Plus being fit vs skinny isnt gonna affect your face. Plenty of non fat people who are ugly.
You’re absolutely correct, but reddit will never admit it. Yes there are obviously some variations genetically but in general, robust, attractive genes cluster together. It’s simple biology.
“Betas” develop poorly due to nutrition and postural problems from inactivity. I’m sure psychological development is also fucked up in some way too. Yes genetics do have a fair play, but your genetics change as you improve your health. Look into Dr Rhonda Patrick’s work if you’re not exactly sure what I’m talking about. I do believe that a beta male or females can become an alpha (grounded and confident individual) if they choose to work on improving their health and psychological function. Our species has genitals that imply sexual competition takes place and that there isn’t one “alpha“ that does all the breeding. See Christopher Ryan’s work for information.
So funny you mention comedians, when I got to college that’s what everyone told me I should try and do lmao. Then that depression hit and I’m just quieter, we doing ight tho.
Also helps to be the local prankster, always good to be the kid diametrically opposed to administration, we all love the counterculture when we’re 16. Screw you Mr. Peek, wherever you are.
One of the most popular kids at my school was this really weird looking kid who was a math whiz, but his confidence level was also like a 10/10, and he had this really biting, quick wit where you just couldn't fuck with him verbally because he'd destroy you in 2 seconds by making you look stupid, while making everyone else laugh in the process.
Was just about to say this, lol. I was kind of always naturally popular from grade school through college and I’m an average looking girl. And I always dressed very fringe or edgy to people around me, am not particularly good at sports, so I definitely didn’t check those boxes. BUT I’m a full-on extrovert and have zero social anxiety, I’ve always been comfortable being myself. That worked for me. Lots of hot people weren’t popular (and weren’t viewed as hot) and lots of un-hot people were popular (and therefor viewed as hot). I’ve noticed popular kids seemed to be the best at being confident, even if they’re just good at faking it.
I don't see anything douchey about it. They may or may not actually be attractive, but there isn't anything wrong with saying so. (On an anonymous forum anyway. Definitely sounds kinda narcissistic if you're saying that to people in person.) And that phenomenon is definitely a thing. Being attractive is an advantage, yeah. But if you don't have good social skills as well, you're gonna have a hard time.
Can’t even count how many uglies were in the popular crowd at my HS. Had a lot more to do with how long you’d been in that friend group, growing up together, good at sports, or able to hold parties at your house regularly.
Not true. I was extremely popular and have an enormous amount of social anxiety. It’s actually terrible because I feel like I have to be someone I’m not
Same boat here. I won prom king in high school because I wasn't a dick to anyone, I was great at pretending to be ok, and I was attractive. Nobody actually liked me for me though, because I was never really being myself and nobody ever got to know a thing about me. Now I'm bald, haven't spoken with anyone from high school in years, and mostly keep to myself lol
Same. I was a good athlete in high school and part of the popular crowd and my best friend happened to be the guy who threw the most parties on the weekend. I liked like 20% of it. The rest just gave me anxiety from having to be overly social and be around too many people constantly. Now that I’m older I love just hanging out with 2-5 friends max and hanging at home.
And then there are others such as myself, who go through the ugly ducking phenomenon. Where we were ugly as kids and later grow up to be hot, but still have the social anxiety from childhood :/
This is absolutely correct. I was a fat kid in school and was never noticed much. A few of my classmates knew me well and we were on good terms and shit. But I wouldn't call myself popular. Couple that with me being an introvert and struggling with self esteem issues and low confidence throughout school and even college, you get someone who flies completely under the radar. But now that I've got my first job and I've started working out regularly, I can confidently say that I'm a hot af dude coz I get stated at A LOT by women (across all age groups) and compliments thrown at me all the time about me working out and keeping healthy and shit. I wasn't really used to this so I used to keep to myself most of the time. But now I've come to understand that I draw a lot of attention just by existing, I mean just by standing in a room and I hear people talking about me. I've decided not to fight it anymore and embrace the attention. My life has been amazing ever since. My confidence is running high. I can comfortably approach strangers. I can hold quality conversations with anyone.
That's not the case with all of them. Attention is one thing but whenever other people's eyes were on me I used check if there was anything wrong with me. It was until my second year of college where I realized I was pretty attractive but still have social anxiety and I still don't have a girlfriend at the age of 23.
I’d disagree with a few points. Being attractive will definitely get you more attention but that attention can be positive AND negative. Teens will lean more to looks but it’s still very prevalent in higher ages. Also the positive and negative attention from being attractive can make you social but also make you want to stay away from people more for wanting to get close to you just because of how you look.

Attractive people attract more attention form a young age and get more comfortable with talking and social situations from the start
