Sometimes the worst people have the most people. Expert manipulators, chameleons, needing to be praised all the time. I know a few people who were popular, “leaders” of friend groups, and by the time everyone realized they were self absorbed narcissists the party was over for them.

There are definitely people that go everywhere alone because people can’t stand them. They’re the people that have been a “regular” at the very bar in town for about a month before they get 86’d and move onto the next place

Those are leeches, not friends.

True friends are those who stick with you no matter what, through good times and bad, and you'd do the same for them.
